Very likely named after his father's brothers, Daniel and Hardin "Hardy" Warden.

Be wary of FamilySearch, which has incorrectly attached him to a wife (married to a WARREN) and children.

Furthermore, his death record gives his place of death as Maysville, which is near Gurley. FamilySearch lists it AS Gurley.

Daniel Warden

Mr. Daniel Warden, aged 57 years, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Annie Lawler, near Gurley, Ala., Monday afternoon, June 13, 1932. Mr. Warden was born in Lincoln county, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Warden, prominent citizens of the county, and a member of the Buckeye Primitive Baptist Church for 19 years. Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday morning by Rev. Hardy Houck, after which the body was brought to Fayetteville and burial was at Rose Hill cemetery, with services conducted by Elder T. W. Mitchell, pastor of the Buckeye Baptist church. Surviving are two brothers, Judge Warden of Texas and W. J. Warden of Fayetteville.
