Calvin Cleveland Jones of Boswell, son of the late John William Jones and Roseanna Cheney was born November 7, 1890 in Boswell. He died Tuesday afternoon, October 15, 1991 at the Calico Rock Medical Center in Calico Rock at the age of 100.

He spent all his working years as a self employed farmer in Boswell. He served in the U. S. Army and was affiliated with the Protestant faith.

Survivors include two sons, Arthur Jones of Troy, Missouri and Glen Jones of Moxee City, Washington; one daughter, Marjorie Cooper of Wenatchee, Washington; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Hubert Jones of Portersville, California; one sister Virgie Vines of Boswell; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Lucille Husband; parents; one daughter, five brothers and three sisters.

Services were held Friday, October 18 at 1 p.m. at graveside with Charles Faith officiating. Pallbearers were Willis Hankins, Don Gillihan, Doyle Gillihan, Allen Estes, Roy Hill and Ronnie Guthrie. Burial was in the Jones Cemetery, Boswell, under the directions of the Howard Funeral Home of Calico Rock.
