Mr. Wm. Murphey, aged 62 years, died suddenly Wednesday morning at 6:30 at his home back of Malta. He had been a sufferer with heart trouble for the past two years, and had not been so well the last week, but was able to be up and about.

He is survived by his wife, and the following children: Charles, Elmer, James, Riley and Floyd, all of Malta township; Mrs. Emory Smith who lives near the fair grounds; Mrs. Gladys Brown, Penn township, and the Misses Bernice, Rose and Alta of the home. Two brothers are also living, Nelson of Corning and Howard of Elliott, and two sisters, Mrs. Cora Vest and Mrs. Eva Vickroy, both of Elliott.

Mr. Murphey was a farmer and had resided about four years on the place where his death occurred. He was a member of the Hopewell M.P. church. Funeral services will be held Friday at the home at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be made in Malta cemetery.
