Mary R. Moody, 96, of 428 Union Court, Fostoria, died this morning at Autumn Wood Care Center in Tiffin after an extended illness.

Born in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late John and Hannah Swab Murphy. She was a former Glouster resident.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Latta of Fostoria, two grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, two sisters and a brother.

Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Dew Cemetery. Friends may call at Guinther Funeral Home in Glouster anytime after 3 p.m. Thursday. (March 4, 1987, Athens Messenger)

Memorial presented and maintained in conjunction with Murphy Nation, a multi-generational family history gateway dedicated to celebrating, documenting, preserving and providing increased awareness and access for the Murphy family pioneers of Morgan County, Ohio and their descendants and families.
