Lavina Call was born 25 May 1910 in Rigby, Jefferson, Idaho . She was the youngest of eleven children born to Omer Samuel Call and Anne Mette [Madsen] Call. Siblings: Sarah Annie (1886), Omer Matthew, (1888), Sylvester (1891), Irene Pearl (1893), Heber Leslie (1895), Floyd (1897), Cyrus Bernard (1899), George Charles (1902), Delta Rhea (1904) and Delbert Fremont (1907).

She attended school in Rigby, Idaho. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

On 05 January 1928, at the age of 17, Lavina married Earl Stoddard in Idaho Falls, Bonneville, Idaho. Their short marriage ended in divorce. On 02 Aug 1939 she married Earl William Kinney in American Falls, Power, Idaho. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Billings, Montana where they lived the rest of their lives together. They were never blessed with children.

Lavina [Call] Kinney died of a heart attack on 16 September 1979 at the age of 69 years and she was laid to rest in the Mountview Cemetery in Billings, Yellowstone, MT

She was survived by her husband, Earl W. Kinney of the home; Sisters, Irene Pearl [Call] Larsen of Soda Springs, ID and Delta Rhea [Call] Cottle of Alameda, CA. Brothers, Sylvester Call and Delbert Fremont (Estella) Call of Rigby, ID.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Omer Samuel Call and Anne Metta [Madsen] Call. Her Sister, Sarah Annie [Call] Hoggan and Brothers, Omer Matthew, Heber Leslie, Floyd, Cyrus Bernard and George Charles Call.
