Delbert Fremont Call was born 29 November 1907 at Rigby, Fremont (now Jefferson), Idaho. He was 10th of the eleven children born to Omer Samuel Call and Annie Metta [Madsen] Call. His father was serving jury duty in Saint Anthony, Idaho when Delbert was born. The judge excused him to go home if he named the baby Fremont; which he did. Yes, at that time Rigby was a part of Fremont County. His siblings are; Sarah Annie (1886), Omer Matthew, (1888), Sylvester (1891), Irene Pearl (1893), Heber Leslie (1895), Floyd (1897), Cyrus Bernard (1899),George Charles (1902), Delta Rhea (1904), and Lavina (1910). He grew up working on the family farm and he attended schools in Rigby. Delbert was baptized on 4 June 1916 and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 5 June 1916 in the Rigby Idaho Stake. He was an active member of the LDS church. He married Ruth Estella Fransen on May 17, 1928 in Idaho Falls, Bonneville, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He and Stella were the parents of 2 daughters (Marion & Linda) and 3 sons (Heber Blaine, Douglas C. and D.F.). He farmed in the Rigby area, was a land developer in Rigby, developed the Call Addition and owned and operated Call's Flowers and Greenhouses since 1933. He also owned and operated a wholesale greenhouse at Shelley. He was a member of the Rigby Rotary Club. He died in an Idaho Falls hospital on September 17, 1982 of cancer.
