He lived in Oak Hill, and was the son of the late Fred Underwood & Mae Tucker Underwood. He was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Underwood.
Mr. Underwood was a retired bus operator for MARTA in Atlanta, GA, and had been a member of the Carlisle First Church of God.

Interment followed funeral services conducted at the O'Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery; Rev. Gene Bowen presided.
