Mrs. Bowyer died at the Village Care of King in King, NC, on Tuesday, December 20th. She was a member of the Hughes Creek Church of God in Hugheston, WV. Interment followed funeral services conducted on Friday, December 23, 2005, at the O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, AL; Revs. John Bowen, Gary Tucker, & Mark Simmons presided.
Mrs. Bowyer was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ralph Bowyer; her parents, Fred & Virginia Mae (Tucker) Underwood; sister, Norma Clark, and grandson, Joseph Allen Green.
Survivors are her children, Joann Bowyer; Jean Ford (& her husband, Bruce), all of Montgomery, AL; Janet Payne of Johnson City, TN, and Jane Stoltz (& her husband Jim) of King; her sister, Doris Strickland of Smithers, WV; brothers, Donald Underwood of Crestview, FL; Jack Underwood of Gallipolis, OH; Terry Underwood of Oak Hill, NC; Ralph Underwood of Hugheston, WV; Larry Underwood of Ft. Myers, FL, & Garland Underwood of Montgomery, AL; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
