Gerald N. Creger

YPSILANTI: Gerald N. Creger, age 73, of Ypsilanti, formerly of Tecumseh, died Aug. 11, 2001, in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. He was born Oct. 29, 1927 in Cone, Mich., the son of Fred and Venia (Fielder) Creger.
He was retired from the Tecumseh Products Co. after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Tecumseh Eagles Club and Friends of the Tecumseh VFW.
He is survived by four children, Norman, Pam, Deborah Creger Robinson and Caroline Rurka, all of Ypsilanti; wife and lifelong companion Violet Creger; one sister, Freda Brighton; and one brother, Donald Creger, both of Tecumseh; three grandchildren, Sara and Stephen Rurka and Michael Creger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and one son, David Creger.
Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in the Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Monday until the time of service
