According to his Washington State death record, Andre was the son of Baptist Ameny and Celine Gachy. His wife was named Minnie.

Andre married Minnie Frangillo on April 21, 1926 in King Co., Washington.

"Andre Ameny Succumbs To Extended Illness; Rites Held Aug. 14

In the death of Andre Ameny, well known to Kent residents and people throughout the district as "Andy", the Kent district lost a man who had graduated from the Kent grade and high schools and who had been a cattle buyer here for the period of his business experience.

Mr. Ameny passed away at his home, 818 North Central avenue, following an illness of three years. He had been born in France on July 24, 1903, coming to the United States when three years of age, settling in this district with his parents, where he has lived for the past 35 years. At the time of his death he was forty years old.

Funeral services were conducted at 9:30 a.m., August 14, at St. Anthony's Church, Kent, with Father John J. Daly officiating and the Kent Funeral Home directing arrangements. Interment took place at Calvary Cemetery, Seattle.

Surviving Mr. Ameny are his wife, Minnie Ameny, two sons, Andre, Jr. and Richard, two sisters, Virginia Ameny and Mrs. Louise Sainati, and his father, Mr. Robert Ameny, all of Kent."
