Andre Charles Ameny

Andre (Andy) Charles Ameny, Jr. died at age 87 on November 16, 2014, peacefully at home after living a grateful, fulfilled life. Andre; was twice widowed, Jean Blackburn (Hoenisch) Ameny (2011) and Mary (Kelly) Ameny (1999) and is survived by his daughter Andrene Bresnan, her husband Dale and granddaughter Erica; son Patrick, his wife Teresa and grandsons Tony and Andre; and his daughter Angela Ameny and grandson Ian Ameny-Luthi.

His son John predeceased him in 1984. Andre; is also survived by his brother Richard (Dick) Ameny, his wife Marjorie and Dick's sons of wife Annis (widowed in 2003), Richard (Rick) and Craig and their families.

Andre; was born in Auburn and lived in Kent and Auburn most of his life. He was a chef and restaurant owner in Maple Valley and a painting contractor and long-time officer of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades local 1982. In his youth, Andre; was in the United States Army and United States Maritime Service where he saw much of the world.

Andre; was an avid and talented fisherman and particularly enjoyed steelhead fishing. He also enjoyed dancing, local arts and camping. Andre; was a member and officer of the Greater Kent Historical Society for many years and was a founding member of the museum. He was a member of the Kent Old Timers club and enjoyed many events at the Kent Senior Center. Andre; and his wife Jean were founding residents at Wesley Homes Lea Hill in Auburn. His charm, generosity and quick wit will be missed by all.

Andre; will be privately interred at Hillcrest Cemetery in Kent.
