Mrs. Gladys Fern Burford,74, of Lewistown, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1975, in the University of Missouri Medical Center at Columbia after a six-week illness.
Services were held Saturday, Mar. 1, at 3:30 p.m. in the Arnold Funeral Home in Lewistown with the Rev. Wilbur Sharpe officiating. Burial was in the Lewistown Cemetery.
Mrs. Burford was born at Wyaconda an Dec. 7, 1900, a daughter of Franklin John and Virginia Etta Burford Kerfoot. She was a member of Monticello Baptist Church and the OES.
She married Hayden M. Burford on July 30, 1919, in Quincy, Ill.
Surviving are the husband; a son, John, of Lewistown; a daughter, Mabel Lynn, at home; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Tweed, of Lewistown; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers art three sisters.
