Frances Verda Kerfoot, Daughter of J. F. and V. E. Kerfoot, was born in Clark county, Missouri, November 15, 1896, and departed this life at the home of her parents, August 28, 1922, at the age of 25 years, 9 months and 13 days.
At the age of thirteen she acknowledged Christ as her Savior and united with the Liberty Baptist church in the year 1919. She became deeply interested in "Present Truth" and since had become a faithful and prayerful student of the scriptures.
February 14, 1917, she was united in marriage to Mr. Oka S. Hottle of near Wyaconda, Mo. To this union two children were born, Floyd, three years of age, and an infant daughter.
She leaves to mourn her untimely death, her husband, two children, her parents, two brothers, Horace and Clarence, and four sisters, Mrs. Ada Laswell, Lucy Kerfoot, Mrs. Bessie Burkett and Mrs. Gladys Burford, and a host of relatives and friends.
Frances was an obedient daughter, a faithful wife and loving mother. She possessed a beautiful and lovable character, and in the Bible class all recognized her as a truly noble and brilliant mind. She was a firm believer in the doctrine of "Ransom and Restitution."
Her sudden and unexpected death brought to her many friends much sorrow.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ingman at the home of her parents, after which her body was laid to rest in the Liberty cemetery.
The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of all.
