Voris McKee Bennett Bennion, 88, passed away March 20, 2011 in Richfield. She was born December 20, 1922 in Holden to Vorda Angus and Nettie Elizabeth Hunter McKee. She married Joseph Garr Bennett, August 23, 1942 in Fillmore. He preceded her in death February 5, 1958. She later married Allen Virgil Bennion, he preceded her in death February 15, 1978.

She was born and raised in Holden, but spent most of her life in Mesquite and Bunkerville, Nevada. She enjoyed hand work and did many quilting and embroidery projects for family and friends. She enjoyed music and played saxophone and bassoon in her early years, but true enjoyment came from the piano.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, served as an ordinance worker in the St. George Temple for 19 years.

Her survivors include her children, Wayne G. (Tana) Bennett of Aurora, Sharlene (Roger) McCarney of Loveland, CO, Dea (Leo) Mayer of Las Vegas, NV; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Bly Nixon and Doreen Ashby, both of Holden and brother, Jan McKee of Bountiful.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Bennett; grandson, Scott Garr Bennett; great-grandson, James C. Bennion; siblings, Chad, Riley, Lex, Roma and Lola.

Graveside services will take place on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holden Utah Cemetery. Friends may call at the Holden LDS Ward Chapel on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Funeral directors, Magleby Mortuary. Online guest book www.maglebymortuary.com
