Richard Jackson Macklin Sr., 77, of Decatur, Indiana died yesterday at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. A lifelong Decatur resident, he was former owner and operator of Phil L. Macklin Co. Chrysler/Dodge dealership and was in dealership for more than 50 years.
Surviving are his wife Ruth E. Macklin; sons, Richard "Jack" Macklin Jr., Larry D. Macklin, and Thomas M. Macklin, all of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Jayne Burman of Decatur, Indiana, sisters, Anna E. DeVoss and Ruth I. DeBolt
of Decatur, Indiana, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Calling will be 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Zwick-Sefton & Jahn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery.
