Ruth I. "Toots" DeBolt, 85, of Decatur, a homemaker, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, at Woodcrest Nursing Center. DeBolt, who worked as a bookkeeper for Arnold & Klenk for several years, was a member of the Adams County Memorial Hospital Grey Ladies, Psi Iota Xi, Women's Association of the Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church and Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Phillip A., a daughter, Alyce Haugk, a sister, Betty DeVoss, all of Decatur; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chalmer H.; brothers, Richard Macklin, Wendall Macklin, Robert Macklin and David Macklin; and a sister, Mary Tyndall Gallman.
Services are 1 p.m. Sunday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with calling from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. until service Sunday. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials are to First Presbyterian Church or Woodcrest Nursing Center.
