19 May 1975: George S. Wike, husband of Martha Royer Wike, Kleinfeltersville, died this morning at his residence after a lingering illness. He was 70. Born in Schaefferstown he was a son of the late John and Jestina Miller Wike. He was a retired employee of the Morgan Paperworks, Lititz. In addition to his widow he is survived by two daughters, Georgette, wife of James Haldeman, Hopeland; and Tresia, wife of Dale Matthews, Schaefferstown; five sons, Richard, Penryn; Donald, Hopeland; Clifford, Kleinfeltersville; Robert, Robesonia RD 1; and Paul, Newmanstown; 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Five brothers, Paul, John, and Franklin, all of Schaefferstown; Marlin, Lincoln; and Arason, Fla.; and two sisters, Sarah, wife of Martin Untcos, Schaefferstown; and Lillian, wife of Paul Schoener, Richland.
