BARBARA P. CURRY
LIMESTONE - Barbara P. Curry, 69, beloved wife of Nathan G. "Scout" Curry, died July 27,1997, at a Caribou hospital after a brief illness. She was born at Limestone, April 11, 1928, the daughter of John and Eva (Baird) Ward. A 1948 graduate of Westbrook Junior College, she was a lifelong Limestone resident, where she was an organizer of the Meals on Wheels program and was secretary of the Limestone Republican Party for many years. She also was Limestone's ballot clerk. Barbara was a lifelong member of the Limestone United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of Limestone; one son, Scott Curry and his wife, Karla of Caribou, two daughters, Joyce Day and Brenda Curry, both of Limestone; four grandchildren, Shelly Chatman, Heather Chatman, Kimberly Chatman and Mathew Curry. Family and friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday at the chapel of the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday at the Limestone United Methodist Church with the Rev. Anthony Brima and the Rev. Patricia Thompson officiating. Interment will be at Webster Cemetery, Limestone. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Maine Division Inc., 52 Federal St., Brunswick 04011. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
