Opal Inez Samuel of Hot Springs died March 13, 2011. She was 87 years old, the daughter of Noah and Minnie Chandler. She spent her early years on the farm at Tulipdale. She married Clayton Samuel on May 10, 1941 at Leola. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, Curtis, Noah Key "Charlie" and Glyn Chandler; four sisters, Bessie Samuel, Gladys Chandler,Lois Brown, and Glinna Pearl "Sis" Garner; one grandson Wade Samuel.
Opal is survived by her three children, James and Shelia Samuel, Tom and Jan Samuel, Helen and Mike Paris; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, John and Mary Chandler; one sister, Ila Kriewald and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Hunters Chapel Cemetery, #9 Hwy, Leola, AR. Rev James Batts will officiate.
