Married Inez on May 10, 1941. He was of the Bbaptist faith, a U.S Army veteran and a carpenter by trade.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clinton, Douglas and W.T. Samuels; five sisters, Clara Dunn, Ruth May, Ruby Edwards, Claytie Samuel, and Amy Rutledge; one grandson, Wade Samuel.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Inez Samuels; his children: James and Shelia Samuel Tom and Jan Samuel; Helen and Mike Paris; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 at Hunters Chapel Cemetery on Hwy 9 in Malvern, Arkansas.
