Robert J. Graff, 74, of Greenbush, MN, died Monday, April 19, 2010 in the Arizona Regional Medical Center at Apache Junction, AZ.

Robert Juel Graff, the son of Juel & Agnes (Hudson) Graff, was born November 16, 1935 in Soler Township, Roseau Co., rural Greenbush, MN. He grew up and attended country school near his home and attended Greenbush High School.

He worked at Scobey, Montana and then returned to Minnesota and married Ruth Helen Johnson on August 15, 1953 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Duxby, MN. In 1955, they moved to the Iron Range of Minnesota where he worked as a locomotive engineer. In 1966, the family moved to West Africa where he was a Terminal Trainmaster for 5 years. They then returned to the farm at rural Greenbush in 1971. He farmed there until he retired and moved into Greenbush in 2005.

Bob was an active member of Oiland Lutheran Church and served as the cemetery sexton for 25 years. He also served on the Board of Directors of Roseau Co. Co-op Assn., the Farmers Co-op Ag Service and the Elevator Board, the Greenbush Hospital and as Township Supervisor. He also drove school bus for 10 years.

Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing, auction sales and visiting with people. He especially enjoyed farming.

He is survived by:

Wife—Ruth.

Children: Shelley (Carey) Olson of Greenbush, Jesse (Annette) Graff of Greenbush, Wade Graff of Las Vegas, NV and Judy Graff of Karlstad, MN.

5 Grandchildren: Waylon (Maria) Janousek of Great Falls, Montana, Dillon (Devona) Janousek of Detroit Lakes, MN, Alexis Graff of Crookston, MN, Allen Graff of Greenbush & Jamie Lee Graff of Stephen, MN.

2 great-granddaughters—Evelyn Kay & Kathryn Helen Janousek.

2 brothers—Joel (Delphine) Graff of Greenbush &
Larry Graff of Moorhead, MN.

1 sister—Annette Bergsnev of Greenbush.

Brother-in-law—John Roggenbuck of Embarass, MN.

Aunt--Deborah Sather of Greenbush, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister—JoAnn Roggenbuck and brother-in-law—Orin Bergsnev.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in Oiland Lutheran Church of rural Greenbush with Pastor Jim Christenson and Pastor Alvin Sather, officiating. Special music was provided by Delphin & Layton Wahl, Oniel Foster & Bill Forister. Donna Graff was the pianist. Pallbearers were Leon Miksatko, Larry Mustad, Waylon & Dillon Janousek, Allen, Monte & Gerald Graff, Jim Bergsnev & Mitchell Roggenbuck. Honorary Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Waylon (Maria) Janousek, Dillon (Devona) Janousek, Alexis & Allen Graff & Jamie Lee Graff, his great-granddaughters, Evelyn Kay & Kathryn Helen Janousek and his lifelong friend, Don Thompson.

Interment was in Oiland Lutheran Cemetery with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush in charge of arrangements.
