James Hohmann, 80, of San Angelo went home to his lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 6, 2007. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Johnson's Funeral Home with Pastor Chester McCown officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home.

James was born March 29, 1926, in Gredericksburg, Texas, to Walmar B. and Sophie Wilke Hohmann. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran, having served in the South Pacific during World War II as well as the Korean War in 1951-1952. James married Peggy Ann Martin on Nv. 19, 1949, in Palestine, Texas, and they lived in Jacksonville, Texas, after their marriage. They moved to San Angelo on March 1 1954, where he went into the commercial refrigeration business with his brothers. Later, he started Hohmann Commercial Refrigeratin business and remained in business until his retirement in 1988.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Peggy Ann Hohmann; brother Wallace Hohmann; sister Doris Inman; and grandchild Matthew Hohmann.

James is survived by son Steven Hohmann and wife Marie of San Angelo; two daughters, Debra Childress and husband Rick of Flower Mound, and Lisa Baker and Carlton of Bedford, Texas; two brothers, Walmer Hohmann and wife Sharon of San Angelo, and Dayton Hohmann and wife Nelda of Coleman, TExas; two sisters, Alice Bingham and husband Jay of Tyler, TExas and Erline Sager and husband Allan of Westerville, Ohio; Sister-in-law Billie Hohmann of Georgetown, Texas; eight grandchildren, Daniel, Wade, and Lacey Hohmann, Christina Eisenhut, Jamie and Caitlin Childress and Caroline and Chandler Baker, one great-grandchild, Rowan Hohmann; anddearly loved extended family.

Pallbearers will be Greg Hoelscher, Grady Harlow, Eugene Spieker, Jack Nalepka, Melvin Eckerman and Grady Oates, Honorary pallbearers will be Earlo Smith, Earl Heard and Art Kasner.
