He was a citizen of Bulloch County for many years and operated a retail show business. He moved to Atlanta several ago.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. James E. Braxton, Atlanta; one son, Eugene T. Jones, Atlanta; and one sister, Miss Minnie L. Jones, Statesboro, and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held in the Barnes Funeral Home Chapel 4:30 p.m. Thursday with Rev. George Lovell Jr., officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery. The body will arrive in Statesboro early Thursday morning.
