Maurice Lee Doom 78, Indianapolis, died March 5, 2011.
He was born March 24, 1932 in Livingston, Co., KY, the son of Belt Turner and Verna Margaret (Johnson) Doom, both whom have preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by 12 siblings.
He worked for 25 years as a plater for Western Electric, retiring in 1984. While working there he started Doom Lawn Care and after 20 years of service to his loyal customers he retired in 1998.
Maurice married Shirley (Sample) Doom on September 10, 1955 and had 55 wonderful years together. Also surviving are daughters, Juetta (husband, Matt) Caudill and Elena (husband, Brent) Moore; grandchildren, Kristen (Chastain) Griffin, husband Michael, Amanda Gail Moore and Lydia Mae Chastain; great-grandson, Jameson Griffin; sister, Ophillia Kincannon.
