The funeral for Cecil J. Carter, 70, 911 W. Charles, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery. Calling at the mortuary is an hour before the funeral.
Mr. Carter died Thursday in his home. Born in Muncie, he attended local schools. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked at Warner Gear (now Borg-Warner Automotive Transmission Systems) during the 1950's and at Ball Memorial Hospital during the 1960's.
Surviving are three stepdaughters, Sharon, Jean and Shirley; three brothers, Gene, Bobby, and Charlie Carter; three sisters, Joanne, Beverly and Margaret; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
