Mr. Beglinger was born in Oshkosh, Jan. 12, 1897, the son of Albert and Minnie Beglinger. He attended the Jefferson school and was a graduate of Oshkosh State Teachers college, then the Oshkosh Normal school.
He served during the Mexican border trouble and saw active service with the United States army during the World war, being a member of Company B of the 127th infantry of the Thirty-second division.
After the war he taught at the Hammond, Ind., High school and returned to Oshkosh in 1928. He was employed in the engineer's office at the city hall for several years. His enlistment in the service was on Jan. 26, 1917, and he was discharged at Camp Grant, March 17,1919.
He was a member of Atley H. Cook post, No. 70, American Legion and of Oshkosh lodge, No. 27, of Masons.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Estella Beglinger; a son, Richard; his mother and father; four sisters, Mrs. John Spencer, Mrs. F.dward Rankel, Mrs. Margaret Rang, and Mrs. Victor Smith, all of Oshkosh; and one brother, Herbert Beglinger, Noyes, Minn. A brother, Henry O, Beglinger, preceded him in death, having been killed in the World war in which he served as a captain. A memorial bridge south o. the city was named in honor of Capt. Henry O. Beglinger.
