Riverside Cemetery is one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in Oshkosh, and is maintained by the municipality. It was established in 1850 and has been enlarged several times. In 2003 it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The chapel at the main entrance was built in 1920-1921 in the Romanesque Revival style. It was designed by Oshkosh architect Julius Dreger.

The cemetery includes "The Grand Army of the Republic" section, which contains a monument erected 1n 1894 to the fallen soldiers, as well as, a separate veterans' section devoted to burials for every war and branch of service since the Civil War.

This cemetery surrounds the Catholic Cemetery. South of W Linwood Ave portion and North of Wilson Ave portion.
