Mrs. Rosa Holmes Dies

Mrs. Rosa Holmes, aged 53, wife of Judge J. D. Holmes of Foxworth died Thursday morning at a local hospital following a heart affection of several months. Deceased was a native of Pike county but came to Marion county 31 years ago with her husband and settled on a farm near Foxworth,where she resided until taken by death. Besides the husband nine sons and daughters survive.The sons are Murray,Marvin,Joseph,Bilbo and E.G.Holmes of Foxworth and John Wesley who moved to Kansas several years .The daughters are Mrs.Clifton Wilson of Monticello; Mrs.Cooper Turnage and Miss Eva Holmes of Foxworth; Other survivors are a sister;Mrs Mollie Rushing,of Hazelhurst ; two brothers D.W.Stewart, of Monticello, and Ed Stewart of Foxworth. Funeral services were held Friday morning at Fortenberry cemetery near Foxworth were the body was returned to the earth whence it came.
