Evelyn Jean Rogers, 74, of Harrison, TN died on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.

She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church and retired from Provident Life & Accident in 1987, after 33 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Nora Cagle Rogers; one brother, Paul L. Rogers; two nephews, Marion Paul Rogers and Jonathan Rogers.

She is survived by one sister, Cauline Rogers Mathis; Charlene Rogers Fain and husband Wayne; nephews, Dennis Rogers and wife Yvonne, and Steven Rogers and wife Amy; several great-nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the kindness of the physicians and staff at the Chattanooga Kidney Center, Health Center at Standifer Place and to Hospice of Chattanooga.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Pastor David Bragg and the Rev. Ronnie Gilbert officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 2-8 p.m. and on Friday up to the hour of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lakewood Baptist Church, 6626 Hunter Road, Harrison, TN, or to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Dr., Chattanooga, TN.
