Dora Shearer Curran,
89, Thomson Hood Veterans Center, died Sat. Feb. 26, 2011. A native of Lancaster, Ky. she was born April 6, 1921, to the late Melvin and Sabra Ellen Shearer. She was the widow of William J. Curran who died 2002 was laid to rest at Camp Nelson National Cemetery where she will also be laid to rest. Dora was a US Army veteran and was retired from Civil Service where she was a dental technician. She is survived by 4 brothers and their wives Harvey and Virginia Shearer, Glenmore and Willetta Shearer, Donnie Ray and Jean Shearer, and Douglas and Judy Shearer along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home was honored to provide cremation for the family.
