Beverly JoAnn Anderson, of Watertown, died Feb 25, 2011, at her home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jerod Moyer, Kristopher Moyer, Jason Stee, Adam Anderson, Joshua Anderson and Dustin Kreger.
She was born Jan 31, 1936 in Watertown, daughter of Carl and Adeline (Lauseng) Marquardt. She grew up and attended school in Waverly. While in school she worked at the Plaza Theatre in Watertown.
After graduation, on Jun 27, 1954, she married Darwin R. Anderson at the Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown. Early years were spent staying home and raising her children and then in 1968 she went to work at Midtex. In 1978 she and Darwin started Interstate Ceramics in their home. Later they moved to Clear Lake where she worked part-time at Gene's Furniture Store while helping to raise her grandchildren.
She was very active in church and community. She and her husband were members of South Dakota Lakes and Streams, Clear Lake Restoration, Watertown Archery Club, and 4-H for 15 years.
Upon retiring in 1996 they sold their house and traveled with their fifth wheel, spending many winters in Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include three daughters, Dixie (Bernie) Stone of Clear Lake, Pam Anderson of Gilbert, AZ, and Laurie (Bob) Stee of Gary; one son, Michael (Jody) Anderson of Lake Madison; five sisters, Maxine Bundy of Brandon, Jean Dirck of Marietta, MN, Carol (Stan) Fry of Ozark, MO, Sharlyn (Dave) Peterson of Midvale, UT, and Diane (Jerry) Redlin of South Shore; one brother, Danny (Janet) Marquardt of Mesa, AZ. two sisters- in-law, Joyce (Leroy) Bergan of Florence, and Beverly Anderson of Long Beach, WA; two brothers-in-law, Harlan (Barbara) Anderson of Enid, OK, and Arlo (Shelly) Anderson of Summit; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
