"Mrs. Sarah McCartney, 69, died last Saturday night at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Forrest McCartney, on the Salem-Canfield road. Mrs. McCartney was born in Greenford, but spent most of her life in Canfield. She was a member of the Canfield Christian church. Surviving are three sisters; Mrs. R. L. Templin of Lakewood, Mrs. George Frank of Warren, and Mrs. Todd Butts, Youngstown; three brothers, William and John L. Schaeffer of Youngstown and James L. Schaeffer of Alonso, Mich.; three children, Earl E. and Roy McCartney of Youngstown, and Mrs. George C. May of Canfield, and 21 grandchildren. Largely attended funeral services in charge of Rev. H. C. Wilson were held Tuesday afternoon from the Christian church. Burial in the village cemetery."
