William Yaegel, 55, 800 East Clay street, died in St. Mary's hospital at 12:27 p.m.yesterday. The son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Yaegel, he was born May 4, 1888. Mr. Yaegel, a Decatur resident all his life, attended the local schools and was a member of the St. James Catholic church.

For many years, he was employed as a bill poster and through his profession became very well known in theatrical circles. He was also an employee of the Gebhart stores before retiring from business six years ago.

He leaves four sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Gasaway, Miss Carrie Yaegel, Mrs. Lillian Gebhart and Mrs. Molly Masterson, all of Decatur; three brothers, Robert, John and Frank Yaegel of Decatur. Two brothers,Joseph and Charles Yaegel and two sisters, Miss Bessie Yaegel and Mrs. Augusta Seibert preceded Mr Yaegel in death.

The body is at Moran & Sons funeral home.
