Mrs. Elizabeth Yaegal, 74, died at 9:15 o'clock Thursday morning at her home, 800 East Clay street. Death was caused by complications incident to old age. Born in Baden, Germany April 3, 1853, Mrs. Yaegel came to the United States with her parents while still a young girl and moved to Decatur in 1870. She was one of the first members of St. James Catholic church.

Her husband, Charles Yaegel, died in 1913. She leaves four daughters, Mrs.Mollie Masterson, Miss Carrie, Mrs. Lillian Gebhart and Mrs. Cecelia Gasaway and five sons, John, Frank, Robert, William and Joseph, all of Decatur. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
