Mrs. Payne was born Feb. 3, 1896, in China Spring. She was married to Will E. Payne June 21, 1914. She was a member of Richfield Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Mrs. Elsie Lois Mann of Waco; four sons, Charlie Gene Payne, Lorane Payne and Robert Payne, all of Waco, and George Payne of Wingate; three sisters, Annie Pearl Payne of China Spring, Texas Dorris of Dallas and Bee Grijalva of Hollywood, California; and three brothers, Byron Talbert and C.O. Talbert, both of China Spring and John J. Talbert of Mississippi.
