Burnsville - Rufus Kelly Bobo, 82, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at the North Miss. Medical Center in Iuka. He was a farmer and proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Philippines on the island of Luzon. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. There was not a more honest man.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen with Bro. Franky Smith and Bro. Cecil Woodruff officiating. Burial well be in the New Lebanon Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Thelma Pruitt Bobo of Burnsville; one son, Larry W. Bobo of Burnsville; one daughter, Ameila Ann Strickland of Iuka; two brothers, Harold Bobo (Mavis) of Jackson, and Bill Bobo (Marit) of Columbia, S.C.; three sisters, Evelyn Rinehart of Rienze, Betty Wood of Corinth and Willa Dean Woodruff (Cecil) of Corinth; five grandchildren, Tomothy Wayne Bobo, Kimberly Joyce Bobo, Gary Dewayne Bobo II, Shawn Darel Bobo and Joshua Shane Bobo; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gary D. Bobo; his parents, Samuel Jourdan Bobo and Melinda Patterson Bobo; a son-in-law, Jimmy Strickland; a sister, Helen Higginbottom; two infant brothers; and an infant sister.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Wayne Bobo, Gary Dewayne Bobo II, Shawn Darel Bobo, Joshua Shane Bobo, Marlin Rinehart and Michael Rinehart.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Reese, Ricky Timbes and Don Simms.
