Betty Jean Bobo Wood, born Aug. 14, 1932, died Oct. 20, 2017, in Normal.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Wood; her parents, Melinda and Samuel Bobo; two sisters; three brothers, and numerous in-laws.
Betty is survived by her son, Gregory (Kelly) Wood, Bloomington; grandson, Alex (Lauren) Wood, and great-grandsons, Christian and Carson Wood, all of Joshua, Texas; her siblings, Evelyn Rinehart, Harold (Mavis) Bobo, Willa (Cecil) Woodruff and Bill (Maret) Bobo, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty moved to Bloomington with her son and his family in 2012, eventually moving into the Legacy unit of Heritage Health, Normal, where she received excellent care and love. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the people at Legacy and Evergreen.
Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Magnolia Funeral Home, 2024 U.S. 72 East Annex, Corinth, Miss., with funeral beginning at 3 p.m. Betty will be laid to rest at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Glen, Miss.
