Died at his residents Mar 27, 1875, 5a.m. near Stokes Mound, Carroll Co., MO., of Bright's disease of the kidneys, Mr. Hezekiah Shields, in the 72 year of his age.
He was born in Maryland. When a child his parents moved to Bath Co., Kentucky and when 15 years of age they moved to Fleming Co., Ky., (near Hillsboro) at which place he grew up and on April 19th, 1832 married Miss Mary Jane Gray continuing their residence there until March 1869, when he with his family moved to Stokes Mound Carroll Co., MO at which place he owns one of the finest farms in the country.
Children:John Wesley, Thomas Allen, Lucinda E, Eliza Ann, Malinda J, James Marion & Elizabeth M.
