ELHANON SAVAGE- 1885/Local Chester Co newspaper of 6/16/1885:Deaths:On June 7, at Crystal River, Hernando county, Fla., Elhanon SAVAGE, aged 56 years, formerly of East Coventry.

Elhanon Savage, aged 56 years, son of Nathaniel Savage, of Pottstown, died on the 7th inst., at Crystal River, Hernando County, Florida.

He formerly lived in East Coventry, Chester County, but went to Cedar Falls, Iowa, followed the occupation of farmer; becoming dissatisfied with Iowa on account of the cold and short seasons, he removed on the first of May last to Florida, where he was taken suddenly ill on June 14th and died in three days. His wife and an eight year old grand daughter were with him, but he leaves five children in Iowa.

The father of the deceased lives with Nathan Hoffman, on Hanover Street, Pottstown. Deceased was a nephew of the late Zenas Savage, and a cousin of Davis Savage, of East Coventry, Chester County.
