Roy married two of the widowed Ford sisters. The first sister was Martha Amy Ford Avant and after she died Roy married the second sister Nancy Thatcher Ford Prescott. Roy did not have children by either sister but was thought of kindly by the family.

Later, Roy married Elsie. He must have been a wonderful man.

Roy's bio is written by Nancy's great granddaughter, Jewell Hess Albright, 2011.
