Mrs. Margaret Avalissa Whitlow, 85, a life resident of Chillicothe vicinity, died at the Methodist Hospital, after suffering a fractured hip from a fall in her home. She was the wife of William Whitlow.
Born in Northampton, Peoria County, Sept. 9, 1869, she was the daughter of Ira A. and Mary Jane Bell Barton, and was first married to Henry Aman, who died in 1929. She was later married to Mr. Whitlow in Chillicothe, Dec. 3, 1947.
Surviving are her husband; and a daughter, Mrs. Alta Wilson of Sparland. A sister and five brothers preceded her in death.
