She was born Nov. 14, 1925 in Huntington to George Albert and Irene Ann Johnson Gardner. She married Cameron O. Brinkerhoff July 8, 1946 and three years later on that date their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, flowers, and the hummingbirds. Her greatest love and joy was her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a member of the Emery LDS Ward. She has served faithfully during her life in the primary, relief society presidency, teacher, and secretary. MIA presidency for 16 years and a temple ordinance worker for seven years.
She is lovingly remembered by husband, Cameron O. Brinkerhoff, Emery; children, Kent (Twila) Brinkerhoff, Cedar City; Delroy (Kathy) Brinkerhoff, Layton; Phillip (Joni) Brinkerhoff, Parowan; Colin (Valerie) Brinkerhoff, Pleasant Grove; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sister, Shannah (Charles) Lewis, Salt Lake City; three brothers, Van (Georgia) Gardner, Orangeville; Lamond (Sherma) Gardner, Cleveland; and Sharon (Vivian) Gardner, Kaysville. She was preceded in death by parents, two daughters, six brothers, one sister, and two grandsons.
A viewing was held Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Emery LDS Chapel and services were held in the Emery Chapel, Monday, Dec. 16. Interment, Emery City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary, Castle Dale.
