Mrs. Castillo died Thursday, Feb. 17, at her home.
She was born Jan. 17, 1930, to Jose and Magdelena Contreras Garza in Malakof. On March 5, 1950, she married Pete Castillo in Cameron. She was a homemaker. She was a charter member, serving more than 50 years, and served Primera Iglesia Bautista Church in Rockdale. She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert I. Castillo of Rockdale; a daughter, Olivia Johnson of Fort Worth; a brother, Benito Garza of Forney; a sister, Florence Nieto of Rockdale; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home; a prayer service will begin at 6 p.m.
