Ms. Lizzie Edith Hughes,87,passed away Friday,February 24,1996 at the Alexandria Care Center in Alexandria, IN.

She was born April 5, 1908, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Blue Cullom and Mattie (Thurman) Adams. She was a member of the Holly Springs Church of Christ and was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons: Jesse Hughes of Anderson, IN, and Douglas Hughes of Livingston, two daughters: Gladys Rollins of Alexandria, IN and Grace Foland of Crossville,TN; three brothers: Granville Adams of Anderson,IN; Carl Adams of Knoxville, and Junior Adams of Livingston,TN; two sisters: Nellie Hunter of Dayton,OH and Christine Richardson of Roseville, MI; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Paskell "Pat" Hughes; three children: Vadous,
Glenn, and Carolyn Hughes; two grandchildren: Terri Hughes Cox and Donald C. Hughes; six sisters: Martana Adams, Oma Adams, Hazel Gragg, Willie Adams, and twins Kathleen and Maureen Adams; two brothers; Earl Adams and Claude Adams.
