Mrs. Nellie L. (Adams) Hunter, age 89, formerly of W. Carrollton, Ohio, most recently residing in Mason, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 21, 1999, at Kettering Hospital.
She was born on December 27, 1909 in Livingston. She was the daughter of Blue Cullom Adams and Mattie Susan Thurman Adams.
She married Lester Stephen Hunter on September 6, 1925. To this union were born eight children named here with their spouses and children: Lindsay and Viola Hunter of Centerville, Mike, Larry and Kathy; Mary and Delbert Bradford of Moraine,Ohio, Janie and Randy; Edith and Franklin Zinkiewicz and Ray Zinkiewicz of Dayton, and Mary and Jim Franklin; Betty and Jack Kincade of Mason, Ohio, Cindy, Rick, Chuck and Tom; Margie and Mark Hubbs of W. Carrollton, Julie and Melanie Steve and Linda Hunter of Dayton, Amanda and Brigette; and Laura and the late Robert Eller of Houston, Texas. she also has great-grandchildren, Greg, Beth, Brian, Scott,Zachary, Megan, Holly, David, B., Anna, David K., Jack, Ashley, Ricky, Blake, and Cassie; and one great-great-grandchild, Brian.
Mrs. Hunter lived most of her life in the Dayton Ohio area, having moved here in 1941. Her husband Lester passed away in January, 1960. For the last few years she lived either at her daughter Margie's or her daughter Betty's. Prior to that she had lived at Canterbury Court in W. Carrollton, Ohio, where she had many good friends.
Nellie accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of 12. She was a long-life faithful member of the Church of Christ. She attended Belmont Church of Christ for the last 30 years.
Over the years she shared a special closeness with her late sister, Lizzie Hughes of Alexandria, Indiana.
