Sandra Kay (Holzer) Dohlman was born September 11, 1947, in Charles City; Floyd County, Iowa. She was the daughter of: Gilbert and Dorothy (Hemann) Holzer. Sandra attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Charles City, Iowa and graduated in 1965. She went on to cosmetology school in Mason City; Cerro Gordo County, Iowa and was united in marriage to Wendell Dohlman on Saturday; July 27, 1968, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville; Howard County, Iowa. Together they farmed in the Chester; Olmsted County, Minnesota and the LeRoy; Mower County, Minnesota areas for almost 40 years. Wendell passed away on Wednesday; September 7, 2005. Sandy served on the LeRoy Ambulance Board, the Pastoral Council for Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in LeRoy, Minnesota and served as an election judge for Howard County, Iowa. She enjoyed reading, baking, spending time with her family and always being on the go. Sandra Kay (Holzer) Dohlman, age 63, passed away on Tuesday; December 14, 2010 at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her four children: Barb (Bob) Foster of Riceville, Iowa, Wendy (Neil) Vikre of LeRoy, Minnesota, Jim (Michelle) Dohlman of Osage; Mitchell County and Dan (Michaela) Dohlman of Clear Lake; Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. Her eight grandchildren: Brooke, Brady, Terrye, Grant, Taylor, Trystan, Madalyn and Drayce. Her four brothers: Butch (Kathy) Holzer of Denton; Denton County, Texas, Kenny Holzer, Ray (Karen) Holzer and Ron Holzer, all of Charles City, Iowa. Her two sisters: Jean (Dick) Bensend of Osage, Iowa and Judy (Rod) Barker of Waverly; Bremer County, Iowa. Also her step-mother: Harriet Holzer of Charles City, Iowa. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn. Visitation will be from: 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday; December 16, 2010 and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Funeral services will begin at: 11:00 a.m. on Friday; December 17, 2010 at the Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in LeRoy, Minnesota with Father Steve Peterson officiating.
