She was born July 6, 1938, in Payne, Ohio, the daughter of Homer and Rae Louise (Randall) Harp. On June 15, 1958, she married Roger A. Shock, who survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the Ford-Fordson Club and the book club at the Defiance Public Library. She loved to make music and enjoyed art and gardening. She loved her dog, Butchie.
Surviving are her husband, Roger A. Shock, Defiance; two sons, Gene (Christie) Shock of Defiance and David (Susan) Shock, Evansport, Ohio; two daughters, Linda (Dale) Jourdan of York, Pa., and Diane Ludeker, Hillsdale, Mich.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann (Sam) DeRosset, Sherwood, Ohio; and a brother, John Harp, Oakwood, Ohio.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a son, Jerry Shock.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2011, at Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren, Defiance, with Rev. Patricia Meeks officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Ridge Cemetery, Adams Township, Ohio.
