Ann L. DeRossett, 85 years of Sherwood, passed away early Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Vancrest of Hicksville. Ann was born March 28, 1937, in Payne, Ohio, the daughter of the late Homer and Rae (Randall) Harp. Ann was a 1955 graduate of Sherwood High School. Ann married Sammie C. DeRossett on June 23, 1956, in Sherwood, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on December 9, 2021. Ann worked at G.C. Murphy and Gorny Winzler as well as TGY. Ann operated DeRossett's Restaurant for several years. She also assisted her husband in his business "DeRossett's" in Sherwood. She was a member of the Sherwood United Methodist Church, where she participated in the Church Women's Group. Ann enjoyed collecting old dolls and old toys and glassware. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida.

Surviving are her two children, Glen "Ed" (Cathy) DeRossett of Sherwood and Barbara DeRossett Moore of Sherwood; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Sammie; one brother, John Harp and one sister, Jeanette Shock.

Visitation for Ann L. DeRossett will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon Thursday, in the funeral home with Pastor Boyd Shugert officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery.
