She was born June 28, 1915, in Hartford, Ind., the daughter of Chester Oscar also known as Charles and Norine (Chapman) Randall. She was a graduate of Payne High School. On June 2, 1934, she married Homer Harp, who preceded her in death. She had worked as a newspaper reporter for the Sherwood Chronicle, and at G.M., National Ideal of Hicksville and Hoyt's Hardware Store of Defiance. She was a member of the Sherwood United Methodist Church, Defiance Genealogy Club and the Ohio Genealogical Society.
She is survived by a son, John (Juanita Masters) Harp of Oakwood; two daughters, Ann (Sam) DeRossett of Sherwood and Jeanette (Roger) Shock of Defiance; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a grandson and a stepgranddaughter. Services were held Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Burr Funeral Home and Crematory in Sherwood with the Rev. Glen Whisler officiating. Burial was in the Wiltsie Cemetery in Payne.
