ELECTA BALLARD
---Mrs. Electa Ballard, ninety-one, of La Plata, died at her home last Thursday morning at 5:30 of a heart attack.
---The daughter of Robert T. and Elizabeth (Stanes) McConoughy, she was born February 24, 1869 in Shelby County.
---She was married December 18, 1894 to Lewis L. Ballard in Shelby County.
---Surviving are her husband; one sister, Mrs. Edward Davis of Canton; one brother, Pierce McConaughy of Macon and one niece, Mrs. James W. Carty of Canton.
---She was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
---Mrs. Ballard had lived in La Plata since 1928.
---Funeral services were held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church with Rev. Clyde Miller and Rev. Fred L. Hudson officiating. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
